Kerrie Luft’s 3D Printed Shoes on Show in London
(3D Printing Industry) Kerrie Luft is a British fashion designer whose 3D printed shoes are being shown at the prestigious Shoe Galleries at Selfridges Oxford Street store in London. Luft won the Fashion Fringe accessories back in 2011 for her original and contemporary footwear range that features 3D printed heels.
Luft’s designs, particularly the heels, are inspired by art nouveau influences. They are produced using EOS’s laser sintering process. Heels like this will come under severe stress and needs to withstand the extreme pressures exerted when being worn and are a testament to the strength and functionality of some of the materials available with laser sintering.
